Gioia K. Mansard is Managing Director of AMES Operations GmbH and Director of the AMES Fellowship Program, based in Frankfurt am Main. AMES works on the conservation of endangered species in South Africa and on enabling the communities that live alongside them. Gioia joined the organisation as Chief of Staff in 2022 and today holds operational responsibility for its operating entity, covering HR, marketing, events, and organisational development with a team of up to 30 employees and volunteers. Her current focus is the AMES Fellowship, a program that brings young adults to South Africa to work alongside rangers, veterinarians, and conservationists in the field. Before AMES, Gioia spent four years in consulting, first at Mercedes-Benz Consulting in Stuttgart, then at Union Investment in Frankfurt. She holds a BSc in General Management and an MSc in Automotive Management from EBS, where she served as President of the Student Body and was involved in the 25th EBS Symposium herself. Her work is driven by the question of how conservation can be organised and financed so that it still stands fifty years from now.
