Philipp Hahn

Philipp Christian Hahn is VP Global Lending and Managing Director at SumUp, a global financial technology company powering commerce for businesses and the consumers who support them. In his role, Philipp leads the company's lending business, scaling it from concept to more than 500,000 loans originated across nine markets. Prior to his current role, Philipp served as Chief of Staff at SumUp, where he focused on strategy and corporate finance. He led multiple debt and equity financing rounds, raising more than €1.5 billion from leading private equity investors, including an equity financing that valued the company at €8 billion. Before joining SumUp, Philipp held various consulting roles specializing in restructuring, distressed M&A, and performance improvement. Philipp holds an Executive MBA from ESCP Business School and a Master of Science from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.








